Congruence
Congruence is defined as coinciding, agreeing or being in harmony.
It is an essential element of the process of intention and co-creation.
January is often a time that we take stock and set goals for the coming year. As I was looking at my intentions for 2005 and noticing what had manifested magically and effortlessly, I could not help but notice what had not.
So I asked myself the question: “Why?”
Where was the incongruence if there was any?
I knew I was 100% resonant with my intentions so why had they not fully manifested? It occurred to me that there could be a variety of reasons for this. The goal for all of us when living consciously is to live from a place of non-attachment, non-judgment and non-resistance.
Was there a place in my life where I was attached, judgmental or resistant?
And more importantly was one or more of these states interfering with the fulfillment of my desires?
Judgment
The idea or thought that the timing must be in a certain time frame is one of being judgmental. When we have judged the timing we may decide that because it has not happened, it won’t. When we have time limits on our intentions we often give up on the intention before it manifests physically. Formulating intentions that are based on our goals and desires for the year is a good practice and being present to what is requires that we not attach a timeline to when it manifests or give up on the intention because it did not happen in our time.
I knew this was not the problem for my intention so I had to look further.
Being Attached
Having an attachment to what the manifested version of the intention is often another barrier to manifestation. If I am in a position with regard to what this is going to look like, I limit my options and may not recognize the manifestation if it appears in another form.
It was clear to me that this was also not the area of disconnect for me.
I decided to look for another possibility. It felt like incongruence could be in the area of resistance.
Resistance
I considered the possibility that I had not been congruent in taking actions and holding beliefs that supported manifestation of my intention. Although I was and still am 100% resonant with this intention, I could see that some of my actions and beliefs over the past year did not support fulfillment of the intention. I decided to ask myself a question. “Which of my actions and beliefs this past year did not support the fulfillment of this intention?” When I asked myself this question it opened the door to amazing awareness. I could see several places where I was holding back and playing small. (The intention was to play big, and had many elements, some of which have manifested.) I also noticed some limiting beliefs that no doubt had created resistance along the way. Fortunately, our Consciousness Shifting process is very effective in identifying and shifting the limiting beliefs and resistances I had identified. I created a plan of action that is congruent with my intentions to move beyond the areas of resistance. I am so grateful that I asked myself this question.
Without the question there would be no opportunity for awareness of the limitations. Without awareness of our limitations we cannot move beyond that which is known to us. I encourage you to look at your intentions and your goals and ask yourself the question; “Are my actions and beliefs congruent with my vision for how I desire my life to be?”
Our business is helping people eliminate what stops them from achieving their goals. When what stops us is gone we enjoy more freedom and success in less time. If you had more freedom and success what would be different in your life?
