Consciousness Shifting - Shift of the day - Monday February 9, 2009

Karen Vizer - Consciousness ShiftingOur consciousness shifting theme this week is Loss.

Loss is defined as no longer having something or having less of something. It is also defined as a feeling of sadness, loneliness or emptiness at the absence of somebody or something. If someone dies we lose connection with the physical essence of who they are. If we misplace something we lose that item that may or may not have been important to us. What if loss is an illusion? If we get our value from doing for instance a particular job; when we no longer have that job we may feel like we’ve lost ourselves or worse yet everything.

Today’s shift says:

When you are focused on the outside for something that’s lost or missing, you’re externally referenced. The external reference is always changing. When you shift to internal reference you realize that you’re whole and complete and nothing is missing! This habit of external reference takes you away from the present moment where nothing is missing. Look within . . . go within, or you’ll go without, and that’s just not necessary!
